Washita Valley Community News Cars and car enthusiasts return to Chickasha by WVCN Staff  The annual spring pil- grimage of antique cars, parts, pieces and associated items will be coming in on trucks, trailers, buses and by other means this coming week as the Chickasha An- tique Auto Club holds their Annual Spring Swap Meet. This event has been going on for decades, up until the COVID-19 pandemic put the brakes on almost all public events last year.  This year’s spring event will be held on the following dates. Wednesday, May 05, 2021 1:00 pm - 6:00 pm. Thursday, May 06, 2021 7:30 am - 6:00 pm. Friday, May 07, 2021 - 7:30 am - 6:00 pm and Saturday, May Life Choices salutes moms this Mother’s Day  Celebrating motherhood and serving pregnant moms every day of the year, Life Choices Chickasha is urging friends to make a donation with Mother’s Day in mind.  “Moms are heroes who deserve much more love and support than they get, so we enjoy being a resource to families in need” says Ryan Owens, an LCC board member of three years.  Women and families in the Chickasha area have turned to this local charity for more than 32 years. Today an optimistic and willing team of staff and volunteers serve diligently as they expand the range of services that toss a lifeline to dis- tressed families, all at no cost.  Free ultrasounds are the gold standard in pregnancy centers, giving moms the chance to see their babies up close. Besides ultrasounds, LCC offers pregnancy and STD/STI tests, adoption referrals, post-abortion counseling, court-ordered parenting and lifeskills classes, diapers and supplies.  “Looking for ways to honor women this Mother’s Day?,” asks Michelle Vo- lante, an adoptive mom, pastor’s wife and board member of one year. “LCC is a The Chickasha Antique Car Club Spring Swapmeet returns to Chickasha this week just east of the fairgrounds.
