Monster Trucks make run at Fairgrounds

 Monster Trucks will invade the Grady County Fairgrounds this weekend as the
2018 Extreme Monster Truck Summer Nationals will occupy the Rodeo Areana
with two action-packed shows Friday and Saturday, July 20-21 at 8 p.m.
 Fans will judge some of the biggest and baddest monster trucks on the planet
as they compete for $50,000 in cash in the Wheelie, Donut, and Monster Truck
Freestyle contests.
 Scheduled to appear is two-time world champion Equalizer, along with Monster
Jam champion and top-ranking freestyle truck Fatal Attraction.
 Also, 2018 rookie of the year Prime Time; the newest truck to the circuit
Venom, and Hot Tamale, Tuff Enough, and world’s largest monster truck Sgt.
Smash!
 Area locals may also compete in the Tuff Truck Contest. Tuff Truck contestants
will do their best to complete the Tuff Course. This obstacle course is so
treacherous most contestants will not finish.
 Also the world’s largest transforming, fire-breathing, car-eating dinosaur
Transasaurus will make an appearance.
 This monster machine is 35 feet tall and is able to grasp and hold 20,000
pounds in each arm and its mouth. It can also shoot fire from its mouth more than
20 feet! The three story Transasaurus effortlessly destroys and devours entire
automobiles.
 Fifteen drivers ages 11-70
years old from Oklahoma, Texas,
Arkansas, Colorado, and Nevada
will race in a 20-lap feature for a
purse of $5,000, winner take all
first prize! A 14-year-old girl is
already on the race card.
  Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
each night. The V.I.P. Pit Party
will be from 6:30-7:45 p.m. and
shows start at 8:00 p.m. Each
show lasts about two and a half
hours.
 V.I.P. ticket holders will get the best seats available and will be able to go to the
pre-show pit party where they can meet drivers, get autographs, take pictures with
the trucks, meet Spiderman and take home a superhero souvenir!
Monster Trucks will be featured at the Grady County Fair-
grounds Rodeo Arena this Friday and Saturday.
